Sheep - Toddlers

Such a difference from last week!

The first book did not go well. Once child was screaming through most and a couple were running around and making noise. Did sign language for sheep.

So after the second book, which went better because the screamer left, I just did songs. The fingerplay in particular did not get any watchers. Went to the Stretchy band because it was a small group and they liked that. I forgot my CD with what a miracle so we did If you're happy and you know it.

Toddlers - Jungle Animals

Today went great! 16 kids and 14 adults.

Lots of energy but they still listened.

Jungle Animals with Early headstart and Headstart

I began my day with Early Head Start. They had me do it in the baby room this time and there were more babies than there have been this session.

So...I turned it into a baby storytime. Lots of music and just a couple of quick books. Both had movement.

Then I did Old Macdonald had a farm in the jungle with puppets. After that they got a little crazy so we were done.

The kids were very good. I wasn't able to sing loudly but I could sing a bit so it went better than I expected. They loved the puppets.

Preschool Outreach - Friendship/Valentines Day

This is a great group. Only 8 preschoolers but very engaged.

Game
Sock game - I made a "washing machine" out of a box and added felt socks. One on the flannel board and one in the box. I had them pick out a sock. This took way too long. Then they were to match the sock they had with the one on the board. It was chaos but I expected that. I think they had fun.

The group was smallish but happy.
